Open Mic Poetry Hosted by Poet Jamil

The Pelham Public Library is thrilled to announce its first-ever open mic poetry night. An open mic is a live show where audience members may perform at the microphone. Emcee Jamil will guide participating poets through an evening of verse. No experience with poetry reading is necessary. Our open mic night welcomes anyone who wishes to share their own poetry, regardless of the topic or level of experience. Passive listeners are also invited and no one will be pressured to share.

The event is free for all interested adults, and registration is not necessary. Sign-up for time on the mic will run from 5:15 to 5:45 PM.
